This training course provides a better understanding of how NAVSEA approaches implementation of the DoD Acquisition Process and the importance of your work to the Command and the Navy, and where you can find out more about the Acquisition Process and your role in it. The NAVSEA Strategic Framework is designed to support the acquisition mission of NAVSEA and its affiliated Program Executive Offices (PEOs), which is to “design, build, deliver and maintain ships and systems on time, on cost for the United States Navy.” Topics include an overview of NAVSEA, its mission, and how it fits into the Navy’s organizational structure, as well as the acquisition process, how NAVSEA implements the DoD acquisition process, and the roles different NAVSEA functions and organizations play in the acquisition process.
