The intent of this training is to provide Construction Managers a general understanding of the requirements for environmental management as it relates to construction. There are several current Unified Facilities Guide Specifications that cover topics associated with environmental management. Topics include: Unified Facilities Guide Specifications applicable to environmental management, the Contractor’s Environmental Manager, the Environmental Compliance Assessment Training and Tracking System (ECATTS), the Contractor’s Environmental Management Plan, environmental permits, protection of natural resources, erosion and sediment control, storm water permit and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan, solid waste management, hazardous waste and material management, lead and asbestos, prohibited materials, contract submittals, and LEED certification.
