Web-Based Trainings

With over 150 online training courses developed for government clients, Sunset Design’s vast experience allows us to create web-based training solutions that are both technically and educationally successful.

Our well-established course development procedures anticipate roadblocks, resulting in a course creation process that is positive for experienced clients as well as personnel who are undertaking their first e-Learning offerings.

Trainings for the 21st Century

Our courses feature a mix of audio narration, animation, images, live action video, learning objectives, knowledge checks, and final exams and are developed in close collaboration with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).

All our web-based trainings support personalized, scenario-based content, allowing for control over the user’s learning experience with customization guided by the learner’s input. By balancing text, video, music, images, and audio narration, our courseware keeps the learner engaged with the content and embraces the advantages of e-Learning platforms.

Train Anywhere

All our training courses can be configured to run correctly in any LMS using the Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM), xAPI, and non-SCORM, proprietary standards, and all multimedia is optimized for government network connections.

Our team has an in-depth understanding of e-Learning products, tools and technologies, and has successfully posted courseware to multiple government Learning Management Systems (LMS), including Total Workforce Management System (TWMS), Waypoints, Navy e-Learning (NeL), Joint Knowledge Online (JKO), Joint Acquisition CBRN Knowledge System (JACKS), and Marine Corps Learning Management System (Ethos).

Section 508 Compliance

Accessibility is fundamental to every stage of our development process. We ensure that our products provide the same experience to all users, without compromising on presentation quality or user engagement.

Sunset Design follows the U.S. Access Board baseline for testing web content, ensuring all training courses are fully compliant with current Section 508 regulations and policies.

Increasing User Engagement

Interactive activities, knowledge checks, scenario simulations, and other topic-appropriate assessments are inserted at regular intervals to keep users engaged, allowing for more frequent user self-assessment and encouraging a higher level of information retention compared to traditional static information delivery methods.
